Gulf ProCar is a race series designed to allow a wide range of race cars to get on track.
What is Gulf ProCar?
Gulf ProCar is an EMSO Sacntioned national race series designed to allow a variety of closed wheel GT, Touring, Saloon and Proto cars to compete together, but in spec classes. It takes place over 7 events in the UAE, racing at the Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit. Gulf ProCar is owned and promoted by GulfSport Racing LLC
With plenty of test and race time, Gulf ProCar is perfect for beginner/home grown racers all the way up to International GT3 race teams.
What can race in Gulf ProCar
-
Class 1 - is exclusively for homologated GT3 type cars. Racing in their own class, this is the pinnacle of Gulf ProCar and attracts local and global drivers wishing race in the UAE, some in preparation for the Gulf 12 Hour, 24 Hour Series or Asian LeMans series.
-
Class 2Cup - is the dedicated class for Porsche GT3 Cup machinery, encompassing 991, 991.2 and 992 generations. Balance of Performance (BoP) is applicable to this class, ensuring equality between the various generations of Porsche GT3 Cup that are eligible.
-
Class 2Challenge - is the dedicated class for Ferrari Challenge machinery, encompassing 458, 488 and 296 generations. Balance of Performance (BoP) is applicable to this class, ensuring equality between the various generations of Ferrari Challenge that are eligible.
-
Class 2Trophy - is for Trophy spec cars. With already well established series like Lamborghini Super Trofeo and Mclaren Trophy, this class allows drivers to get additional race time, racing with similar performance cars, but at a more cost effective point than with the manufacturers series.
-
Class 3 - Globally GT4 has kept on growing, and over the past season more and more of these cars are coming to Gulf ProCar. GT4 represents a cost effective way to get behind the wheel of a serious GT car, but not at GT3 costs.
-
Official sanctioned by WSC (owner of TCR), this class is specific for TCR cars, and follows global TCR BOP data.
-
Class 4 - is the real main stay of Gulf ProCar. Allowing a variety of saloon cars with normally aspirated 2,000cc engines. Running on pump fuel, but custom builds and running relatively open its a class for the real club racer. A mix of balance of performance will allow cars with forced induction to still compete in this class.
-
Class 5 - for Saloon cars that run an engine of more that 2,000CC capacity and therefore out perform cars from Class 4, similar to Class 4, this club racer class is for cars built over from the road going version both modern and classic. This class will also capture 2.0L cars that are built to a high performing specification, eg: ex Touring Car spec.
-
Class 86 - is for Toyota 86 Cup cars, which have been very popular and prominent in Gulf ProCar and the local racing scene for many years. These cars feature a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine. (BOP Possible)
-
Class RC - Over the years the Renault Clio car has become more and more popular in the UAE. Gulf ProCar has been the incubator for this and we welcome them into Gulf ProCar with their own class as in previous seasons. Both Gen. 3 and Gen. 5 (BOP possible).
